SPRING1970-Jim McVey and I ( both 15 years old ) decide to go and watch a movie at the Kearse Theater while visiting the downtown area of my hometown of Charleston, WV. We watch a double-feature: Ace High ( with EliWaleich and Terrance Hill ) and The ITALIAN JOB. We had no idea what either movie were about. When I left the theater, my life was to change becau...

Unipower GT at Donington Kit Car show 2012
The Mini-engined Unipower GT was launched at the 1966 Racing Car Show by Universal Power Drives Ltd of Perivale, Middlesex. One of the most successful Mini derivatives, it was even entered for the 1969 Le Mans race. Around 75 cars are believed to have been built, and surviviors have become very valuable. The example seen here looks very smart wearing JAP Magna wheels.

It was thoroughly prepared - new rad/hoses/belt/water pump, new clutch/slave and idler gear bearings, new engine and tranny seals, new QH universal joints, new muffler & tailpipe, relays for lights/horn, serviced starter & alternator, new HiLo cones up front & Koni Sport a...
