We're proud to announce that the 15" wheel is now back in production. Available in centre-lock spline-drive & peg-drive or bolt on options. Original distinctive 3-eared spinners also available (can be supplied as dummies for bolt-on wheels if preferred).
All wheels are tailored to customer-specific requirements.

Albert Betts' Jaguar - UXF363 - prepared at his Clapham-based (and later Southall-based) AWB workshop. The Magna wheels were painted to match the two-tone paintwork. The car survives and was a recent winner at the Goodwood Revival meeting.

This is the car when owned and raced and hill climbed in my ownership
1975/5 by me.The venue is Gurston Down in the UK driven my me,
Reg.Palmer. AWB Motors , Albert and Paul Betts and business
partner,Bryan.Austin. helped and supported me no end then and later on
in the 1980's with classic Jaguar saloon racing.Happy days!

Hi Reg,
Great to hear from you. Thanks for the information. My understanding
is that Albert raced the car prior to your ownership. Presumably, the
Magna wheels were already fitted to it when you took ownership of the
car(?). If you have any other photos of the car, please let me know.

Hi Roger,yes,Albert raced it from I believe 1957 as a 2.4 right up to
1968.He developed it into an outright race winner.He was a great
driver and engineer.The Magnas were on the car for many years and
looked fantastic as did the paint

Link shows the car at Silverstone in my hands,cica 1975.In those days
it sported triple webers and about 275 BHP.There are many clips of it

Thanks for that. I also came across the Walworth Racing Team Jaguar MkII
3.8 driven by Rod Forbes. The picture of it at Thruxton in 1969 shows
that it also had JAP Magna wheels. Do you recall that one?

Roger,yes I recall it and the E Type of the same team? Albert also raced
a customer E type once,the Brian Spicer car maybe,at Thruxton.
UXF was so quick round Snetterton in its most developed form even
beating American V8's on occasion.

Hi Reg,
Thanks to your steer, I found a great picture by Richard Styles of
Brian Spicer’s E-type at Snetterton 28th August 1967. It is dark green
with a lighter green nose & racing stripe. The lighter green is
repeated on the JAP Magna wheels. It's a very puposeful-looking beast.
Is this the one that you remember?

Roger,it was so long ago but the car I recall was red with black hardtop
but colours are often changed.So I honstly cannot say.

Martin Dingle, renowned car restorer and former BMX bicycle champion sent us photographs of his restored 13” JAP Magna wheels. He is currently working on a Sunbeam Stiletto restoration and is planning to fit the wheels to it when it is finished.

This is one of several US-based Sunbeam Tigers featured in the Images section of our website fitted with JAP Magna wheels. One kind owner, John Watertor, sent us a copy of the original J.A. Pearce Magna wheel sales brochure which was used by the US distributor (The Motoring Shop of La Jolla, California).

The Mini-engined Unipower GT was launched at the 1966 Racing Car Show by Universal Power Drives Ltd of Perivale, Middlesex. One of the most successful Mini derivatives, it was even entered for the 1969 Le Mans race. Around 75 cars are believed to have been built, and surviviors have become very valuable.

London coachbuilder Harold Radford – already having created estate versions of Aston Martin’s DB5 & DB6 – made the original Mini a high-fashion icon with his hand-crafted Radford Mini de Ville offering a rare, opulent, distinctly up-market version of the diminutive machine with unique celebrity status.
