“Zeebee”
A Seattle car since originally sold by Rowland Motors on January 22, 1959 to Miss Pamela Davy, this old girl has been in the constant care of British Car enthusiasts. Pamela took great pride in her new car, moving it to Colorado for a couple of years in the 1960's when Pamela joined the now defunct Denver Sports Car Club and campaigned enthusiastically in the local road rallies in the Rockies! After her passing in the late 1980s, Pamela's husband in 1990 sold the car to the mechanic who had cared for it for about a decade, Tom Ehler. Tom then sold the car to a fellow enthusiast in the Triumph club, Tom Mohle. Tom Mohle drove the car for another decade commuting back and forth to work before trading the car for a paint job on his TR6 to master restorer Mark Jones. Mark drove the car for a couple of years before I bought it in 2004. A great joy for me was in 2006 when Mark was painting the car and Mark, both Toms and I were present to toast to the "freshening up" of a well loved friend. Zeebee (as my wife christened her) is completely standard with two exceptions - conversion to negative ground and the acquisition of a 4.3 diff from an MGA for longer legs on trips.
