This is a great low-key show, in a beautiful grassy park setting alongside the canal. The organizers do a great job, and a good time is had by all.

I'm new to the organization and pleasantly surprised to see this event. I'll be picking up my '80 MGB Wednesday of this week and I'll bring it along. I had a '67 when I was a teenager and always wanted to find another one because it was a blast to drive.

Queen Street, Port Perry, ON, Canada
August 10, 2014

Listed on Calendars: The MG Experience The Triumph Experience The Austin-Healey Experience The Morris Minor Forum The Jaguar Experience The Mini Shrine The Landy Registry The Sunbeam Experience The Morgan Experience

Join us and be our guests in Port Perry on Sunday August 10th, 2014 for the fabulous 'Brits on the Lake' Classic Motoring Revival. It is the all-British motor event with a heart. Our fifth annual Revival promises to be one of the best British car/bike/commercial events that you'll ever experience!

A MAGICAL STEP BACK IN TIME

The Revival is really a magical step back in time, a unique chance to revel in the glamour and allure of classic British motoring set in the romantic time capsule of the post-war era. It evokes strong memories of carefree times, the swinging sixties and exuberant seventies when flash and style converged with the British Invasion, not just in music but in cars and motorcycles too.

The Revival is fast becoming the country's most popular all-British motoring meet and it is perfectly at home and seemingly fused with the historic Port Perry streetscape. Attending the Revival is an overpowering way to relive the glory days of sporting British cars and motorcycles and it is most likely the biggest street party of its kind. It offers car owners, enthusiasts, visitors and shop-keepers the opportunity to leave the 'modern world' behind and enjoy the magic of the historic streetscape, the glamour of visitors costumed in period fashion and the rolling beauty of classic British engineering and design.

IT'S INTERACTIVE!

Everyone that sets foot on the street enters onto the stage that is Queen Street. If you like, in fact, you're encouraged to let nostalgia overwhelm you and to join us in vintage clothing, helping to turn the clock back. Don't be afraid to get up close to the cars. The owners love to show off their lovely machines. You can join in on the 'peoples choice judging' and vote for your favourites!

SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE

If you've visited Port Perry before, then you'll know about our beautiful and historic downtown area on the waterfront of Lake Scugog, chocked full of boutiques and shoppes that make exploring fun and you'll recall the intoxicating aromas wafting into the street from the bakeries, restaurants and cafes. You'll, remember the ice cream cones, the quiet stroll through the parks on the waterfront and the small town warmth and friendliness that greeted you and you'll want to come back again and again.

On the other hand, if Port Perry is somewhere that you've never been, then you'll just have to join us and find out for yourself!

MAKE A WEEKEND OF IT!

The 'Brits on the Lake Classic Motoring Revival' delivers all of the nostalgia and beauty associated with classic British family saloon cars, sports cars, motorcycles and commercials in a perfect fit with the charming atmosphere of Queen and Water Streets in Port Perry.

Plan to make a weekend of it and join in the fun of the Saturday events. You will enjoy the freedom of the open road offered by the 'Wing Commander's Rally Tour'. It is both a salute to himself, Nigel Shiftright, Automotive Anachronism and a fun romp through the countryside surrounding Lake Scugog.

Who's Going?

Let us drop some names of those you'll meet here - Jaguar, Austin Healey, MG, Triumph, Marcos, TVR, Vauxhall, Ford, Jensen, Turner, Bentley, Rolls Royce, BSA, Norton, Matchless, Bristol.....

Need we say more?

Sponsored by the Port Perry Business Improvement Association

The Plateau British Car Club announces the August 22nd and 23rd Return of the British (cars & bikes) to Rugby, TN.

Rugby, adjoining the beautiful Big South Fork National Park, is an 1880’s British village with several remaining original buildings. Historic Rugby will also be offering free tours of some of the 115+year old buildings, and of course there will be a drive through the countryside. And there’s shopping available in Rugby. This year you will also have the opportunity to take a hike – a guided hike that is, led by National Park Ranger Howard Duncan. He will be leading and explaining things on a 2.1 mile hike. However you have the option of going only as far as the “Gentlemen’s Swimming Hole” and then returning (4/10 mile). If you plan on participating, be sure to bring some hiking or good walking shoes. Both hikes will be informative and interesting. And don’t forget there’s the car show in addition to the above entertainment. Judging will be done by the registrants and awards are based on the number of pre-registrants. Early registration is open through August 16th and the forms and schedule are available at www.pbcctn.org/Rugby. Note special registration prices for British Bikes.

Carolina Motorsports Park, Kershaw, SC, USA
September 14, 2014

Listed on Calendars: The MG Experience The Triumph Experience The Austin-Healey Experience The Morris Minor Forum The Jaguar Experience The Mini Shrine The Sunbeam Experience The Morgan Experience

Carolina Motorsports Park is allowing another British Invasion!!!

This is a chance to drive your MG, or other British car around the CMP 2 mile road course. If you are within driving distance to Carolina Motorsports Park in Kershaw, SC and would like to drive your LBC around a real track for free, here's your chance. For those who may be traveling a bit farther I recommend you consider visiting/staying in nearby historic and beautiful Camden, a pre-war town (Revolutionary War).

Foothills British Car Club is again hosting this event and we look forward to a good turnout for this 7th annual event! Hap Waldrop best summarized this outing in the announcement a few years ago. [I've taken the liberty to make a few corrections - like, the date ;-)]

The time is near for this years British Invasion at Carolina Motorsports Park. Yep, hard to believe, we have not been run off from here yet. :) So once again we plan on returning to Carolina Motorsports Park for our 7th annual British Invasion at CMP.

This is about as laid back of event as it gets. Drive your MG or other British car around the CMP 2 mile road course on Sunday 14 September 2014 - no helmets required, passengers are welcome to ride along. We normally meet and park over the near turn 2 - about 1000 -1030, near the concession stand, nice restrooms also near by (I know you ladies like such details).

Overall it's just a fun time, to get to go out on the track in our little cars, and take a few laps at something much better than a pace lap. CMP is a interesting road racing track, very technical and designed for cars like our LBCs Go as slow or fast (within reason) as you like. For the faster folks, trust me, you'll like this, we normally attack the corners and back off on the straights, you'll be plenty tested.

It costs nothing to do the track session. We normally have about 15-20 British cars there, lots of neat stuff, lots of the folks have done this with us, have been with us since the first year, so they must be enjoying it, I know I do.

I like seeing the smile on folks faces when they come off the track and start telling you about their time on track, like kids at Christmas :). Men, women, children, dogs, you name it, you're all welcome.

Last year was my first time at the show and it was a lot of fun. I didn't show my MGB, but drove it to the show. Plan to attend again this year

Nestled midway between historic Marshall, and lovely Middleburg, deep in the rolling hills of Virginia's incomparable Hunt Country, lies Willoughby Farm, home of our host, Barbara Scott.

In October the vista is an artist's palette of breath-taking color. This is the setting for the MG Car Club, Washington, D.C. Centre's Hunt Country Classic British Vehicle Show.

And, there's entertainment for everyone, from apple pressing for the kids, to hayrides for all to round out the day! Additional entertainment is provided by the Alexandria Pipers. Combine this with a delicious lunch, and you have the Hunt Country Classic experience...one without equal.

This year we will be continuing the Prince of Wales class. All first place winners from the previous year will automatically be entered in the prestigious Prince of Wales class. There they will be judged, and the "best of the best" will win the coveted Prince of Wales award.

Each year the Hunt Country Classic holds a silent auction, with the proceeds going to a charitable organization in the local area. Again this year we have selected the Middleburg Humane Foundation, a non-profit farm shelter for large and small animals located in Marshall, Virginia. It specializes in the rehabilitation of abused and neglected animals. Last year we raised more for MHF than in any year before. We hope to do even more this year! Learn more at www.middleburghumane.com.

Preregistration by September 30th: $20.00
Registration after September 30th: $25.00
Spectator Parking & Admission:
$5.00 / car
$2.00 / motorcycle

This is almost in my back yard, time to get one of the Spits out and head over there this year.
