Interior Remake

This week end we refreshed the COLONELS interior, we replaced the carpet, rebuilt the drivers seat, The strap webbing had failed and the 40 year old foam had fallen apart. We also removed the radio speaker and added 3 gauges to the radio consul

We have obtained a set of Rootes1 wheels after much reconditing the Colonel has some new shoes . These wheels where only offered on 71-72 modles and are quite rare .

We have completed the major body work on the Colonel. We have removed both front and rear bumpers, removed the door mounted mirrors and the side marker lights, Next we welded in new metal to close the large holes left behind the ft bumper. the lugage rack and trunk badge are gone as well as the rocker moulding. Then we started the reconstution Sport mirrors were added to the tops ot the ft fenders{note the are all but useless, but they look soo cool}.We then welded closed the holes left by t...

NEW GRILL FOR THE COLONEL

Yhe previous post on this subject is not acurite , We have decided to remove the Bumper mounts and we are only useing the steel tubeing as a guide to form the mesh grill materal. we have decided to resiss the grill slightly ,as it is more visually pleasing. we have decided to use L shaped brackets with wall angers to mount the grill to. This methoid is less costly and more efficent. pix will folow
