ROO was given a suspension rebuild in late May/early June 2014 before a drive across Canada to Sault Ste. Marie, on to Mid-Ohio for the Can-Am Mini Challenge Race then on to Milwaukie for Mini Meet East Meets West and the return drive across the USA.Up front new knuckles, new wiggly pins & bushes, new rack rod ends, new adjustable lower arms with competition bushes, new adjustable tie-rods & bushes and new rubber cones (springs). At the rear, ROO got new rubber cones (springs), new knuckles, new adjustable height trumpets. The new rubber cones installed before heading east last June (2014) collapsed, necessitating stops to increase the rear ride height (thank goodness for adjustable trumpets). On getting home I installed Moulton Smootha-ride cones at the 4 corners.

We set out on June 2nd for the drive south to Mini Meet West 2016 in San Diego, California. Southern routing I5, crossing to 101 in northern California, then to Hwy. 1 for Monterey & Santa Barbara. ROO ran like a top even climbing albeit slowly up the east side of the Sierras to Logan Pass & into Yosemite Nat'l. Park on the way north. The Gold Trail was a beautiful drive. After a stop at Seven Ent. for a few parts & service we made our last overnight near the Oregon border, driving through Oregon & Washington to home on the last day. Another longish trip without incident!

ROO is going to be the ride in the ALCAN 5000 Summer Rally in August this year (2018). Power unit out, engine bay stripped, sub frame & steering rack removed. Empty void cleaned, surface rust treated, epoxy primer and very close match colour by LORDCO paint pros in Poco. Had already prepared a modified front sub frame to go in over a new RH steering rack. Refreshed HD adj. suspension bits added & new hubs/ball joints installed with new 8.4: rotors/CVs/drive flanges following. Moulton Smooth-a-ride cones installed in 2014 out in favour of RED dot cones. Koni sport adj. dampers out up front with GAZ adj. to go in (already GAZ adj. at rear. GAZ on car adj. Koni's not. Power unit to be an 1185cc build after Graham Russell. I spent 5 hours in Graham's works last April after I found an OEM Cooper 12G295 head at Speedwell in San Fernando. Took the head to OZ. Graham installed hardened exhaust seats, cut larger seats for Paul Ivey race valves, ground his 266SS cam, faced lifters and cleaned up the head und
