Done

I have very slowly been cleaning, primering, and painting each RoStyle one at a time. My goal this year has been to put new tires on either the RoStyles or the American Libres. Every time I get close to spending the cash, one of the other three cars gets it for repairs. Merry Christmas!

2016 Updates

Posted on: Monday June 6, 2016

March: installed missing engine mount bolts; two on each side. Noticed engine is tilted down on right side slightly. Replaced new red cap temp sender (inaccurate) with black cap (accurate). April: replaced gearbox rear seal; greased u-joints since driveshaft is out. May: installed new drivers seat belt, replaced engine mounts, replaced gearbox mounts including yoke and engine steady rod

Front Suspension And More

Posted on: Tuesday November 17, 2015

Finally got a chance to replace cross-member pads. Only wish I had the time to completely strip it, use POR-15, etc. Torqued front shock bolts to 44#; felt like they were at 35. Hoping these will get rid of initial clunk on braking. Next is to replace slow drip on rear transmission seal.

Rocker Assembly

4 shaft wear

While adjusting the valves, I noticed an excess of oil flowing from #4 and #8 rockers. Backed off adjusters to check fit. Rockers wiggle on shaft more than others. Removed rocker assembly; rocker bushing and shaft worn on #'s 4 and 8. Ordered two new rockers and shaft. Two studs/nuts stripped on re-assembly; ordered 4 new studs/nuts from Moss.
